A Community’s Response to Homelessness: Imagine there is a deep pit. Imagine someone has fallen in. How does that person get out of the pit? We can't simply pull them out with a rope -- they have to climb out themselves. They have to want to climb out. But when they're ready, we can offer them the tools that will give them a way out. We can give them a ladder. We can provide them with the first step toward a better future.
